Tammy wrote even before that, phonetically as she used to do:
"My mom went to the Doctors.
Daddy did not know what to do."
When Tammy was very young her biggest wish was a sister. She expressed it in My One Wish, stating that she reached the age of 6 years & she wonders how come her friends have little siblings & she is still the only child. Tammy described how just a few minutes later mom called her to let her know that she is going to have "a little something." Tammy attempts to hide her excitement were unsuccessful.

When Ruthie turned 8 Tammy wrote to her:

“Dear Ruthie. It is hard to believe that you are already 8 years old! I remember when you’re just born. Anyway, each & every gift that I gave you symbolizes something related to you, all except the erasers - I decided that you’ll undoubtedly like them just like that.
I hope that the relationship between us will continue to be as good as it is today.
