II cannot find words to capture my sadness. Tammy was a fantastic teacher, a loyal friend and wise, creative, imaginative, funny, talented human being. She taught me so many things about life.

Ho my goodness, this is such sad news. I can't believe it. Friends since NYU. My condolences to her family and friends. Farewell Tam.

I am so sorry to hear the news. We used to drum together back in the late 90's.
RIP TAMMY!

Beloved Dear Tammy,
“What’s up? Shall we go to the shore?” Summer is coming up & I am waiting for a phone call from you. What is up?”
We always said that we fit so well in the sea – swim & float & have long talks in deep water – what a calm…
I am looking to the gate one day, imagining you coming in “Hi, what’s up?” a smile, coffee… talks… complaints… hours of time together.
We were even drumming together from time to time & performed African rhythms in NY & in Israel when you used the “Dondon” – African Bass drum; inventing openings & connections to the various rhythms & preparing for a performance for Druze women on International Woman’s Day, in Ussafia.
We traveled a lot – long drives on the # 1 HW from San Francisco to Los Angeles, when on the road huge stone cave-ins & the hotels are occupied & we decide to continue. ..
& on the long ride to New Orleans we visited your friend who returned from Zimbabwe & taught us folk songs with roles. We listened to Jazz & walked in the streets…
And here in Israel we went to the Dead Sea that you so loved & that is what we felt like doing on your birthday.
& talks… & analyses… about people & situations… & always saying that we should meet more… & it was so great. It was so great… it was so great…
It was really really so great with you, Tammy.
You should continue your ride successfully…
Missing you
