I told a friend who left on Pension about Tammy passing & the place of her burial.

"Which Tammy?" she asked

I wrote to her: ”Our Tammy”

She was not home & was very surprised.

After this talk I thought: This is, this is how we’ll remember you Tammy – Our Tammy.

How good you were. How you listened to everyone, to each question/request. How talented & special you were.

It is so difficult to imagine the school without your activity in Multimedia.

You did all the ceremonies, with talent & as a volunteer.

Your smile was sincere & enlightening like a lighthouse.

It is so regrettable that I did not get to know you enough. I would have learned more about your blessed activities with our Arab neighbors & also identified with  you.

I will miss you, my pleasant friend.

I loved you,

Our Tammy, let your memory be blessed.

Dear Tammy,

We were lucky to have had you as our children’s educator!

You accepted with great love a group of boys & girls who arrived to you after no little potholes  on their road in the educational system.. With your pleasant & comforting personality you managed to touch each & everyone of them.

You allowed everyone to open up in their own time, when you instilled in them the sense that you are always there for them.

With a lot of wisdom & sensitivity you gave them the message that they are liked & that they are in a place that trusts them.

You saw in each & every one of them a flower in a bouquet of flowers that you deserves to receive for your dedicated educational work.

Unfortunately the difficult illness cut short  your work. But it did not shorten what already grew roots – the knowledge that they are in a place that will not give up on them.

With lots of love & appreciation.

Eulogies

A dear & loved daughter, talented, humble, & full of giving & sacrificing.

I loved her as a girl, student, & as a grown woman.

Already when the family came to NY from MN, Tammy stood out in her uniqueness. Her original & mature thinking & not only her talking but her doing.

Tammy stood out in her musical talent –& her humbleness!  As my student at Kinneret Day School she accompanied the choir & her class when they performed a Musical, showing her talent in accompanying on the piano.

Despite the fact that in the last few years, since her coming back to Israel, we only met a couple of times a year, I saw her when she came to NY to visit or when I visited Israel. We had a strong relationship/contact. We felt like close family & indeed through all the years we spent in NY, during her childhood & adulthood, we felt like close family; we had Pesach Seders together, we lit the Hanukkah candles & we sang together.

How sad that Tammy left us at such a young age!

She still had a long road ahead of her, with many talents, abilities & wishes to develop, to give & to contribute in so many areas.

It is so sad, there is nothing we can do but remember the beautiful memories that she left in our hearts.

Tammy, we all feel the loss, & I miss you!
