At the end of 2nd grade, Tammy traveled to a sleep away summer camp for three weeks. She faced the difficulty of being a new child having to build relationships using English - a new language to her.
Tammy and her parents corresponded throughout the camp. In her letters Tammy rarely referred to difficulties going through these experiences. She had a good time.
The camp counselor wrote that Tammy is having a great time
Two years later Tammy participated in the horseback riding part of the summer camp. She enjoyed it even more.
